Melnyk and Fineout-Overholt (2022) note that organizational change is inevitable, and healthcare institutions must continually evaluate practice and implement changes. Kurt Lewin’s Change Model is a widely utilized theory in healthcare that outlines change. Hussain et al. (2018) note that the theory helps organizational leaders create and develop change interventions and cement them in the organization. It also helps reduce change resistance by employing strategies to ensure change is cemented in the organizational culture.

The change model explores all aspects of a change and even helps leaders predict future problems with the change.
