The number of falls in the hospital is rather high in the general population, and over fifty patients have fallen in the last year in the current workplace. The hospital experienced several fatal falls in the past year and have been sued several times after patients fell in the hospital. The purpose of the initiative is to reduce patient falls in the facility while increasing the profit margin of the facility.

The benefits targeted are reduced costs of caring for patients who sustain falls in the facility and community revenue generation for the hospital. The respective beneficiaries are the patients and the hospital.
