It has been associated with a decreased risk of committing human errors due to inaccurate or incomplete data. Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) is another technology that has been vital in facilitating the exchange of medication orders between different healthcare workers to ensure that medications are administered correctly and that no adverse drug events occur (Dhamanti et al., 2021). Using pagers among healthcare workers has also been essential for efficient communication, mainly during emergencies, to relay important patient information. There has been efficient decision-making, communication, and enhanced quality of patient care.

Interprofessional collaboration has also been crucial in ensuring that technology is utilized effectively for collaboration and communication among various healthcare professionals.
